Our entry was crowned the winner of the World Cheese Awards 2022, held at the International Convention Centre Wales in Newport on Wednesday, November 2. Standing out among 4,434 entries, our Goat Cheese impressed some of the top connoisseurs of cheese, such as cheese producers, cheese merchants, buyers, chefs, retailers and columnists, winning a Gold Medal! The cheeses were rated in aspects such as the appearance of the peel and interior, as well as the aroma, body and composition of the cheese, while most points are awarded for the taste and sensation it leaves in the mouth. Our Gold Medal is just 1 out of 3 Gold Medals for all Greek cheeses that participated in the Competition!

This seal of warranty from so many connoisseurs in the cheese world is truly priceless to us. All of us at Menoikio are truly dedicated to our work, and we set out to make the best products. So this award shows us that our efforts are rewarded and recognized.

This year was the 34th year of the World Cheese Awards competition and the entries were more than ever: 4,434 cheeses from 42 countries and 900 companies from around the world were submitted. All entries were judged in one day, as 250 connoisseurs from 38 different countries examined the appearance, composition, aroma and taste of the cheeses.

For us, to stand out among so many different cheeses from all over the world is a huge honor!
